Upon completion of this module, through systematic study, students are expected to gain a comprehensive understanding and insight view on the importance of computer security in the context of information technology, the basic concepts of computer security, the effects of security on information systems and the effort required to integrate security solutions and practices into information systems and to appreciate the security challenges that today’s information systems have to face. The students are also expected to become familiar with the principle topics and issues and to be capable of demonstrating knowledge of the basics in information security and privacy.
