Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this module the student should be able to:
1. Demonstrate an ability to research, analyse and represent existing and historic landscapes, environments and buildings and to use the findings as an active component in the design process.
2. Demonstrate the ability to engage with some of the critical issues surrounding the formation of contemporary public space, buildings and use this research as an active component and consideration in the design process.
3. Demonstrate the ability to make appropriate and well-considered design interventions in a specified context through the integration of form, function, and space while considering the implications for the broader environment.
4. Demonstrate the ability to integrate building assembly, structure and materials into a synthetic design proposal while considering the implications for the broader environment.
6. Demonstrate a mastery of orthographic projection and the ability to create, develop and explore a three-dimensional object while representing it through plan and section.
5. Demonstrate the ability to develop a body of work across the trimester through an iterative and rigorous work process, employing analytical thinking, a range of different work methods, techniques and forms of representation at selected scales and to exhibit the work coherently.
7. Demonstrate the ability to communicate, discuss, critique and reflect on your own work and the work of your peers.
