This module will provide the opportunity to enhance and develop digital drawing skills for those designing the built environment. The global objective of the module is to teach participants a spectrum of drawing skills across a number of computer programs: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Rhinoceros and Revit. Integration of these applications and their file formats while maintaining file image quality, integrity and scale will be demonstrated. Teaching will consist of instructional lectures and video tutorials as well as individual/small group tutorials.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module, students will be able to communicate their design ideas using a variety of computer software packages. They will illustrate the skills learned throughout the module by producing a portfolio which will contain varied original content generated by the participant. The module is designed to instruct the student on the use of various computer drawing and image-making packages and understand their relationship to each other and to the design process. This will move their focus from purely learning software tools to actively designing for a specific audience and. They will create and develop Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings, illustrations and visualisations and animations.
