Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course students should be able to: 1) Demonstrate their understanding of conflict theory and the fundamental approaches to resolving conflict. 2) Demonstrate their understanding for the theory and process of mediation and how mediation can be used positively in forums where stakeholders have conflicting interests. 3) Display their understanding and ability to use communication and mediation skills. 4) Identify how the process of mediation can include diverse interests and manage complex issues that present within heritage disputes. 5) Assess how a consensus building process can contribute to resolving complex, multi-party disputes.
