ANSC40260 Infection and Immunity

Academic Year 2023/2024

This module is designed for stage 4 BAgrSc students who have basic knowledge of animal health. It focuses on building more advanced theoretical and applied aspects of immunity that influence health outcomes and approaches to treatment of disease in livestock. emphasis will be placed on aspects of disease prevention and emerging diagnostic technologies to reduce our reliance on antibiotics. Students will also be introduced to the concept of One Heath. Students will be exposed to a series of lectures given by UCD staff and external experts on a variety of topics related to infection and immunity.
