Following successful completion of this module the student should be able to:
1) Identify organs and structures in the thorax head and neck.
2) Recognise anatomical features and relate them to sectional and radiographic anatomy.
3) Apply knowledge of Anatomy to clinical situations and topics of importance in sports science.

Thorax: surface anatomy, osteology and respiratory muscles
The muscles, joints and movements of respiration
Lungs and pleura
Mediastinum: divisions and contents, great vessels
Heart and pericardium-1
Abdomen, surface anatomy, abdominal wall
2.Head, Neck and Spine
Superficial neck and scalp
Cervical vertebrae
Muscles of the cervical region
Bones of the facial skeleton
Nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses
Carotid sheath and blood supply to head
Spinal column - regions and joints
Spinal column ‐ ligaments and muscles
Spinal nerves, spinal cord and tracts
Radiographic anatomy of spine and spinal trauma
