This module provides students with knowledge of the theory, and practical skills in the use and application of, Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing in environmental research and resource management situations.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this module, students will have acquired both a broad theoretical knowledge, and practical working competence in, the use of Geographic Information Systems and the analysis of Remote Sensing data. Students will also have gained experience in the actual application of these technologies in a project-based environmental resource management situation. Students will have the opportunity to further develop their skills in report writing and the visual presentation of spatial data in the form of output maps.
