Stage 1

1. Students with little to no experience of learning Chinese should select from the CORE MODULES list as follows:
AUTUMN - select CHN10010; SPRING - select CHN10030 AND CHN10040


2. Students who have studied Leaving Certificate Chinese should select from the CORE LEAVING CERT LEVEL (A) list as follows:
AUTUMN - select CHN10050; SPRING - select CHN10030 AND CHN10040


3. Students who are native speakers/ heritage learners (around HSK5 level) but with limited writing skills should select from the CORE NATIVE SPEAKER (B) list as follows:
AUTUMN - select CHN10140; SPRING - select CHN10130 AND CHN10030


4. Students who are native speakers/ heritage learners (around HSK5 level) with writing skills should select from the CORE NATIVE SPEAKER (C) list as follows:
AUTUMN - select CHN30030; SPRING - select CHN10130 (From B list) AND CHN30040
