Students must select a total of 12 modules (60 credits) in Stage 1 with a minimum of 11 modules (55 credits) taken from with the BSc degree programme. Core and option modules should be taken as directed. Elective modules may also be taken from within the BSc degree programme. Elective modules are registered in the Spring trimester.

This is a conditional core for students who wish to pursue Medicinal Chemistry or Biophysical Chemistry in Stage 2. Students who did not achieve a H5 or better in leaving Certificate Physics, and who want to remain eligible for Neuroscience, Physiology must take PHYC10070 in Stage 1 or Stage 2.
