The undergraduate course in Social Justice offers students
the opportunity to acquire a deeper understanding of the
underlying causes of injustice while being supported to
become critically reflective global citizens and effective
agents of social change. Over the course of the four year
programme in Social Justice students will advance their
knowledge about the key social issues of the 21st century,
while developing their understanding of social scientific
methods, gaining advanced skills in relation to research, critical thinking
and analysis, problem-solving and communication.
The joint major in Social Justice provides a unique
educational pathway for those who are interested in working
within national and international civil society organisations,
as well as for statutory and international bodies with a social
justice remit in fields such as public policy; international
development; human rights; community development; social
research; advocacy/campaigning.
