Engineering Science Stage 4 Mechanical Engineering Stream is a 60 Credit undergraduate year of study. Following successful completion of Stage 4, students will progress into Year 2 of their Master of Engineering (ME) Programme, and modules from Stage 4 will be mapped forward in place of Year 1of the ME. Students may need to consult with the Programme Coordinator before registering to their modules.

Stage 4

Engineering Science Stage 4 Mechanical Engineering Stream is a 60 Credit undergraduate year of study. Following successful completion of Stage 4, students will progress into Stage 2 (Year 2) of their Master of Engineering (ME) Programme, and modules from Stage 4 will be mapped forward in place of Stage 1 (Year 1) of the ME. Students may need to consult with the Programme Director before registering to their modules.

Incoming Stage 1 undergraduates can usually select an Elective in the Spring Trimester. Most continuing undergraduate students can select up to two Elective modules (10 Credits) per stage. There is also the possibility to take up to 10 extra Elective credits.

AUTUMN CORES (REQUIRED): The following modules are REQUIRED for the ME Mechanical Engineering programme and must be passed prior to completion of the ME Programme. Students can select a maximum of two of the following Autumn Trimester CORE MODULES. Students should follow the guidance of the Programme Director in selecting their modules. Any modules from this list, not taken in Year 1, will have to be taken in YEAR 2 (before the completion of the ME Programme).
