At the end of this module, students should be able to:
1. Understand and describe the various roles and responsibilities of the veterinary profession in society.
2. Recognize and outline the key concepts and attitudes underpinning professional standards ('code of conduct'), professional
behaviour and veterinary ethics. Appreciate that this applies to you as a student of a professional degree.
3. Become aware of the employment and career options available to the modern veterinarian.
4. Appreciate the importance of core business skills to the modern veterinarian with a particular emphasis on personal financial
management and planning.
5. Learn about basic professional communication skills (e.g., verbal and non-verbal communication) and develop these skills
through group work & presentation.
