On satisfactory completion of this module, according to the descriptors of CEFR students should be able to:
1. Have a basic knowledge of the grammatical structures of the Catalan language.
2. Talk about concrete subjects of daily life, using simple phrases and vocabulary, intervene using simple statement about familiar subjects.
3. Produce basic written communication (phrases and sentences) in Catalan.
4. Respond to, understand and interpret simple texts and instructions and deduce meaning of unknown words from the texts.
5. Interact in a simple way, asking questions and giving answers about oneself and his interlocutors, about where he/she lives, about the people he/she knows, about the things he/she owns.
On completion of this course you will speak, write and converse about the following topics: How to introduce yourself; your family relations; work and professions; describe yourself and others; describe places (home, city and natural environments).
