Curricular information is subject to change.

Previous modules have explored the capabilities of digital technologies and the strategic and operational opportunities they offer organizations. We have seen that technology challenges traditional industry structures and competitiveness. Additionally, we examined how technology enables organizations to rethink their business models and value propositions, as well as reimagine the delivery of products, services, and customer experiences.

We also studied innovation and its role in the digital strategy process. We saw how embracing data and digital tools pushes leaders to reorganize for greater agility and responsiveness to changing customer demands. However, leveraging these opportunities and delivering real business value requires significant organizational change—this is the transformation element of digital transformation.

This module tackles the translation of ambition into concrete implementation plans. However, this is against the backdrop where most organizations have struggled with their technology investments. The failure rate of IT projects has remained stubbornly high over the decades. Moreover, research reveals that achieving expected outcomes from digital transformation can be elusive. In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, the ability to navigate and lead digital transformation is crucial for an organization's success and sustainability. How can an organization set up its transformation programme to increase its likelihood of achieving the outcomes it expects?

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
The teaching style adopted will be participant-centered. There is a wealth of experience in the room and to capitalize on this, engagement will be highly interactive to ensure that participants learn from each other. The role of the faculty members is to provide a safe environment for sharing and to provide a structured approach to learning. The module is delivered through the use of materials (cases, readings, videos, podcasts, exercises, breakout discussions) and the orchestration of the conversation around these materials. Given the highly interactive nature of the session, it is essential that all required pre-module preparation is completed in advance of the classroom sessions.
