SBUS41960 Lead & Coach for Performance

Academic Year 2024/2025

The aim of this two-day module is to introduce participants to the key theory and principles of coaching conversations as part of leadership. The foundations of a coaching approach are discussed to enable a coaching style of leadership to be added to the leader’s repertoire. This coaching module raises awareness of the best ways of developing potential and achieving behavioural change in self and others. The coaching skills introduced as part of this module are all in service of producing quality meaningful conversations which result in better performance.

Gaining an understanding of how people think and feel, how to work with human change, and what approach to take are all critical to success in both performance and engagement in all work environments. Along with the coaching theory participants will be engaged in practical coaching experiential groups to develop their coaching skills.

This is a highly interactive module which encourages a high level of participation in the room to maximise the learning experience and practice coaching.
