This is a 2.5 credit module and will take place throughout Autumn and Spring Trimesters. The format of this module will be 6 meetings of 3 hours duration each. The focus of the module will be upon the unique manner in which students integrate their practice experiences and skills with their knowledge of research processes and findings in the light of their developing theoretical perspectives.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module students will; (1) Be able to demonstrate and articulate their application of systemic ideas in clinical practice and show an ability to demonstrate an ethical and reflexive engagement with their work. (2) Further develop their ability to integrate theory, practice and research through learning from the workshop presentation of experienced practitioners.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
Students present a synthesis of case material in which they identify and discuss key clinical questions. A reflective team offers the presenting students with their observations regarding the options to pursue their clinical work. In the final instance, the supervisor discusses the learning with the presenting students in front of the group. Students are encouraged to make integration links across all clinical modules.
