This module is designed to ensure that postgraduate research students are exposed to a range of advanced research closely allied to their chosen area of expertise and to ensure that they acquire the skills necessary to present their own research to a national / international audience. This module requires students to identify and attend a series of seminars / research presentations relevant to their research and to present their own research at a national or international conference(s) relevant to their PhD research programme. Students must submit a portfolio to the module co-ordinator detailing the range of seminars / research presentations attended over the course of the module. The portfolio will also include a report on the student's conference presentation(s).
