The aim of this module is to help prepare students for taking on a research project and career in psychology.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the module, students should have:
1) gained an appreciation for open science and ethical research practices;
2) thought about different career options in psychology and beyond;
3) developed the foundational skills needed to conduct an independent research project (e.g., literature searches, academic writing).

- Ethics application submission
- Research study pre-registration preparation
- Research integrity training
- Reflection on psychology seminars attended (2 required)
- Careers workshops
- Writing workshop
- Literature search and academic writing
