This module is offered over two years and focuses on group work skills and in particular the recognising and responding to group work incidences or events from a group analytic perspective. Skills can include active dynamic administration and negotiation, managing group boundaries, recognising and identifying parallel processes and working unconscious dynamics in a group work setting.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completing this module trainee will be able to
• Understand and recognise the relevance of the skills of early dynamic administration, including choosing appropriate settings, networking, promoting and presenting their group work practice to others.
• Increase their level of group work skills in preparing to facilitate a group, for example, meeting group members and managing early anxiety.
