Learning Outcomes:
• Demonstrate effective use of group supervision through taking on feedback, linking insight and learning to practice, reflexively critiquing self and constructively critiquing others
• Display effective ongoing assessment of potential clients for individual and or group psychotherapy, including considered assessment of complex presentations, appropriate selection and continued focus on group composition
• Develop capacity for increasing autonomy in decision making and appropriate engagement with peers and professional colleagues.
• Continue to develop the skills needed to establish and sensitively maintain the therapeutic alliance with clients and group.
• Demonstrate a group analytic attitude and associated leadership skills in maintaining the group experience, with emphasis on ongoing dynamic administration, boundary management, levels of communication, mirroring, resonance, translating, working with transference and countertransference and exploring unconscious dynamics.
• Identify and synthesise the application of key theoretical concepts, displaying how they relate to group process and guide practice.
