On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
- describe and discuss key characteristics of contemporary Portugal;
- understand and analyse articles, reports and audio-visual materials on cultural, political, social and business-related topics
deploy a wide-ranging vocabulary related to these themes
- give a well-structured and coherent oral presentation on a chosen topic, and comment on other presentations
- have developed self-study skills and awareness of and sensitivity to another culture.
