We will engage with major topics in Peace and Conflict Studies and associated fields (International Relations, security studies) at the conceptual, theoretical, and empirical levels. Students will be asked to read and discuss contemporary scholarship and apply it to ongoing conflict scenarios. The objective is to equip students with the tools necessary to analyze existing social scientific research pertaining to armed conflict, and to enable them to identify topics for further study.
