Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this module students should:
1. Achieve the competencies set out in the Physiotherapy clinical placement assessment form – level 2.
2. Formulate and evaluate learning objectives and operate within a professional clinical environment.
3. Demonstrate comprehensive patient assessment and treatment skills and recognise when service users may need onward referral or referral to other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
4. Demonstrate on-going progression of clinical reasoning skills through regular reflection and evaluation of practice.
5. Demonstrate ability to critically review personal professional practice and take responsibility for implementing appropriate changes to improve practice, ensuring to meet the standards set out in the CORU Code of Professional Conduct.
6. Understand that issues may arise in clinical practice when a service user lacks capacity to give informed consent
7. Demonstrate competent management of all documentation and patient records with a comprehensive understanding of data protection.
8. Demonstrate on-going development of effective communication skills by demonstrating an ability to listen, give advice, delegate, and offer a professional opinion with all service users, considering issues of language, culture, beliefs, and health and/or social care needs

Clinical practice assessment is determined by the Clinical Placement Assessment Form under the 3 headings - Assessment & Management, Professionalism, Documentation / Communication.
The portfolio includes the reflective practice assignment, the evidence based clinical reasoning form & unplanned learning,
