Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the module the student should be able to:

Demonstrate the ability to develop their own learning strategy;

Prepare for learning and assessment at UCD;

Analyse academic integrity;

Demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of applied chemistry, applied physics and human anatomy and physiology relevant to OSH practice.

Library Skills (How to use a Library, database Searches, references), Motivation, Time Management and Note taking, College Knowledge, Introduction to Professional Accreditation, Digital Tools, Study Skills and Assessment, Adult literacy and communication, Academic literature review and basic academic writing, Plagiarism and how to avoid, Introduction to Anatomy and physiology, Applied Anatomy and Physiology for OSH, Introduction to Physics, Physics for OSH, Introduction to Chemistry,

Students should be over 23 years, be employed and have at least 3 years work experience and be students on HDipSHWW.

Students should be engaged in OSH in their workplace and be students on HDipSHWW.

How will my Feedback be Delivered?

Student will receive a provisional individual grade in Brightspace within 20 working days of the submission date of the assignment (A, B, C etc. as per UCD grade descriptors). The grade will contribute to the student final’s grade for the module. Each student will receive an assignment feedback sheet on Brightspace.
