On completion of the module the student should be able:
- To advise management about a wide range of health hazards in their own work place and other low risk environments, and the strategies used to risk assess them
- To describe national and organisational work-related illness prevention and health promotion strategies
- To demonstrate knowledge of controls appropriate to a range of risks to health
- To apply the principles of risk management to a variety of health hazard situations.
This module will provide you with an introductory knowledge of a variety of topics relevant to occupational health hazard management, including occupational health and diseases, toxicology and occupational hygiene.
