Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
1. Formulate a plan of care for a person with vascular complications (peripheral or autonomic neuropathy, foot complications and cardiovascular) associated with diabetes.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of nephropathy and retinopathy for a person with diabetes.
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of diabetes on people with specific needs across a continuum of care.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of care for a woman with diabetes in pregnancy, (pre-gestational, gestational and pre conceptual care).
5. Critically demonstrate the ability to undertake an individual patient assessment of a person with diabetes which incorporates a detailed foot examination.
