About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the module students should be able to:
● Describe and distinguish between data-driven documents, dashboards, decision support and business intelligence systems, with examples of each
● Assess the importance of the current developments to decision making systems
● Understand the role of metrics and KPIs
● Appreciate the role of human factors in business intelligence and visualisation, including the typical ways in which visualisations can inform or mislead.
● Employ computer software to produce high-quality data visualisations
