This module builds on seminars delivered in CAP Seminar 1 as part of the Professional Masters in Child Art Psychotherapy. Seminars in this module are delivered by an experienced psychotherapist/psychoanalyst in two 5-week blocks. Clinical papers, psychotherapeutic perspectives and techniques relevant to this stage of the students training are examined in depth. A clinical paper is assigned for students to read prior to each seminar. The clinical papers provide a framework from which discussions around theoretical and practical aspects of Child Art Psychotherapy are facilitated. In this module students continue to explore and deepen their understanding of the contexts in which the practice of Child Art Psychotherapy is situated. Seminar leaders guide students in discussion of psychotherapeutic theories and concepts relevant to Child Art Psychotherapy.
100% attendance is expected, but 80% attendance is the minimum attendance required to achieve credit for the module. Absences must be discussed with the module coordinator or course lecturers, who will require supporting documentation (e.g. medical certificates). Students who miss part of the module may be asked to do a further piece of work in remediation.
