This module is delivered in year four of the Professional Masters in Child Art Psychotherapy.
Seminars in this module are delivered by an experienced psychotherapist/psychoanalyst in two 5-week blocks. Clinical papers, psychotherapeutic perspectives and techniques are examined in depth in this module. A clinical paper is assigned for students to read prior to each seminar, with a particular focus on child/adolescent psychotherapy. The clinical papers provide a framework from which discussions around theoretical and practical aspects of Child Art Psychotherapy are facilitated. In this module students continue to explore the contexts in which the practice of Child Art Psychotherapy is situated. Seminar leaders guide students in discussion of psychotherapeutic theories and concepts relevant to Child Art Psychotherapy.
