Curricular information is subject to change.

Advanced supervision of conducting a clinical training group.will focus on group dynamics at intrapersonal, interpersonal, and transpersonal levels, and consideration of group as a whole. The student will be encouraged to analyse the group's levels of communication, as outlined by Foulkes, and develop awareness of projective mechanisms, transference and countertransference in the group, and personal developmental issues. Advanced supervision will develop the student's capacity to take up the role of conductor, to locate meaning in context, and to make appropiate interventions and interpretations and to adopt a group analytic attitude.

This is a must-pass module for the programme. In other words, a student cannot complete the MSc without passing this module regardless of grades across all other modules.
