Curricular information is subject to change.

Group analytic research embraces clinical, applied and organisational inquiry. As a result, approaches and methods vary in response to the range of questions and challenges facing the discipline as a whole. This module introduces students to the field of group analytic research. It will extend their capacity to question and reflect on core ideas and practices within group analysis through critically evaluating published research material.

Students will undertake a minor thesis (7,000-8,000) which should have methodological rigour and, where appropriate, show understanding of the study’s relation to established research methodologies in group analysis. This is a must-pass module for the programme. In other words, a student cannot complete the MSc without passing this module regardless of grades across all other modules.
