This module examines the law and practice around data protection governance. It examines the procedural rules and safeguards which are in place to guarantee data protection rights, such as the role of data protection officers, the carrying out of data protection impact assessments, data breach responses including notification, handling of subject access requests, handling of requests for erasure, and so forth. It also introduces the core elements of information and data management, including the ethical issues these present.
