Upon completion of the module, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of action-orientated, task-based, and communicative approaches to language learning and teaching.
- Analyse the processes involved in second language listening, speaking, reading and writing and their classroom-based implications.
- Demonstrate a theoretical and practical understanding of research-informed approaches and methodologies that can be used to support the development of second language skills.
- Design a CEFR-based lesson for a specific group of learners (identify learning outcomes, design classroom tasks, select materials, and suggest appropriate teaching and learning approaches).
