This module provides an opportunity for graduate research student(s) to work with academic staff on staff research projects for one trimester, and to gain credit for this research training. Registration to this module is subject to the academic supervisor's permission.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups with academic staff on a specific research project. The supervisor for the project will generally, but not necessarily, be your academic supervisor (ie your PhD supervisor if you are a PhD student). If you wish to take this module, you should FIRST discuss this with your supervisor. You MUST have identified an academic staff member who has agreed to supervise you before enrolling on this module. Once you have identified a project supervisor, discuss with them what you will be doing and how it will be assessed. Tasks will vary depending on the specifics of the project. There isn't one fixed assessment method for this module; it depends on the project. Once you have a supervisor, you may then register for the module. At that point, please also email judith.wusteman@ucd.ie to let her know who your supervisor is.
