This module examines the Internet and its applications from a science and technology studies perspective with a focus on infrastructure, platforms, and algorithms. The impact of information-communication technologies (ICTs) and social networks on culture, community, social structures, professional practices, and laws will be discussed.

Discuss the impact of social media on individuals, organisations, and society
