MNCs are have an unique business organisation and exercise considerable political and social influence in the workplaces today. In addition to providing a conceptual insight into the multinational as an entity, this module will assess how MNCs of different national origin manage the employment relationship within their overseas subsidiaries. Students will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of the opportunities for convergence and divergences of practices and the influences affecting them. This modules provides an in depth exploration of the variance across different national business systems across a variety of institutional settings, particularly from the European and Asean regions.
