This is a generic module that encompasses a range of courses in Advanced Research Techniques in Geological Sciences to meet the training needs of graduate students in agreement with their supervisor(s) in the School of Earth Sciences. These advanced level courses are generally offered by external institutions that can offer specialized facilities and equipment and/or by industry training centres. The specific courses on offer vary from year to year, depending on the PhD student cohort and their specialist training needs.
