This module will specifically examine the political geographies stemming from the processes of European integration post 1957. It will investigate the origins of the supranational project, explore its governance arrangements and analyse the ways in which this project has been shaped by internal forces and external demands.

THE MODULE EXPECTS A HIGH LEVEL OF READING. THE EXAMINATION WILL DEMAND THAT YOU DEMONSTRATE THIS. FAILURE TO READ SUBSTANTIALLY WILL MEAN THAT YOU WILL FAIL THE MODULE.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module students should have:Examined and critiqued the political geographies of the EU;enhanced reading and analytical skills as geographers;developed a deeper understanding of the EU, its member states, and the nature of their interactions.
