The module is delivered in a lecture based format, covering a variety of topics relevant to the legal framework for the financing of aircraft. The core topics can be broadly broken down into the following areas: introduction to basic legal concepts; leasing and trading aspects; financing structures; legal framework; restructuring / default related elements; airline regulatory; and sanctions and compliance.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

The module aims to give students a strong grounding on the transactional side of leasing and trading aircraft and to provide an orientation around the legal framework involved as well as an overview of related themes including insurance, compliance issues, bankruptcy and environmental matters
