Indicative Module Content:

Broadly your report can take the format of a detailed description and
analysis of the project(s). Hence the structure of your report will be as
follows:
1. Introduction/Company Overview
2. Three Professional Experience Diaries
3. Background to the project - project brief / specifications, objectives, key
issues, etc
4. Theoretical & Empirical Relationships – based on a review of the literature
what theoretical underpinnings inform the project? Or how does your
project relate to finance/economic theory?
5. Methodology - the approach you took in the project(s), key project
phases, what were the objectives, how were they achieved?
6. Empirical Results / Key Findings
7. References
8. Appendice

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
The aim of the module is to offer students first-hand experience of working in
the world of finance and to integrate their academic experience with
practical learning. You are expected to engage with your internship
opportunity between June 20th and August 26th, completing the roles
assigned by the host firm. To ascertain the extent of your workplace learning
and to satisfy university academic requirements, each student must submit
for examination a project which describes, analyzes and critiques a pertinent
theoretical framework and literature relating to your internship task(s) and
industry setting.
