FDSC4072K Food Safety and Security Part 1: Traceability and Authenticity

This module will provide basic knowledge on the food traceability and authenticity in food sectors. This module will enable the students to understand the importance, applications, limitations and principle of different (modern) analytical techniques in Food, Authenticity and Food Safety and also enable the students to design and demonstrate verified techniques appropriate at given industry issues relevant to potential frauds. Case studies on the relevant aspects (involving food frauds) will also be discussed in the class.
