This module focuses on doctoral level research in the field of educational psychology. Students will explore the role of different types of research in educational psychology and how it contributes to the field of practice. They will be introduced to different types of quantitative and qualitative research design and methodology, and mixed methods approaches. Students will explore different philosophical paradigms and ethical issues underpinning research methods. Students will learn about systematic literature reviewing and will be supported to produce and implement a systematic review protocol in order to produce a systematic literature review.
