Curricular information is subject to change.

This module offers an alternative to the traditional research dissertation with the completion of an independently-sourced internship in a setting related to education and/or children and youth. The internship requires 240 hours (e.g. 30 full days or 60 half days) of work-based activities and can be completed part-time throughout the spring/summer trimesters, or in a six-week block during the summer break. Students will keep a reflective journal for the duration of their work placement and profile the organisation where they are based in a final report. A group-based presentation and attendance at seminars throughout the year are additional requirements of the module.
