This course provides a rigorous introduction to modern econometric methods. Fundamentals will be revisited and approached from a theoretical perspective. The course will focus upon the underlying statistical models used in applied econometrics work, so that students understand when particular methods are likely to be adequate or not given the specific research question at hand.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this module, students should have a thorough understanding of the econometrics methods used in modern econometrics and be able to critically assess the advantages or disadvantages of using one method over another.
