Indicative Module Content:
This course gives an overview about the transportation system. Transportation engineering focuses on the infrastructure of transportation and all the elements which support the movement of goods and people. The course explains how to apply the technologies and scientific principles to the planning, operation and management of facilities for any mode of transportation. This topic conveys an understanding of the importance of transportation in modern society by presenting selected characteristics of existing transportation systems, their use and relationships to other human activities.
