This module aims to provide the students with experience of real-life sustainable supply chain issues as experienced by researchers and organisations in Ireland and internationally. The module will give the student an array of sustainable supply chain management skills such as the ability to apply theory to practice, critically analyse current practice and theory, provide solutions to sustainable supply chain issues and manage sustainable supply chain research or consulting projects.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

The learning objectives are to use the knowledge from the MSc in Sustainable Supply Chain Management to solve a sustainable supply chain management issue for a company or to undertake a sustainable supply chain management research project. Students will use synthesis, analysis and critical-thinking skills to develop the solutions for the company or for the research. They will use their writing and presentation skills to communicate their work and solution to the company or for the research. On completing this module, students will be expected to:

1. Research and analyse a real-life sustainable supply chain issue;
2. Manage a sustainable supply chain project;
3. Combine different knowledge streams to provide a solution;
4. Professionally present findings on the sustainable supply chain issue;
5. Prepare a sustainable supply chain management report.
