Curricular information is subject to change.

The course concentrates on Decision Analysis and associated topics such as risk analysis and the role of judgement in decision-making, with the aim of providing insight into how one can structure complex decisions. It also goes beyond decision structuring to look at aspects of decision-making in practice, such as group decision-making. Effective managerial decision making requires an ability to identify and use relevant data, so that decisions have a quantitative as well as a qualitative foundation. Good decision makers and problem analysts also need to understand the impact of human behaviour and psychology on decision making.
