The ability to plan, sell and deliver change within organisations is a fundamental dimension of the effective leader’s role. The aim of this module is to provide students with an overview of the theory and practice of Change Management. This module focuses on five different phases of the change process, namely (a) recognizing the need for change, (b) undertaking organisational diagnosis, (c) planning and preparing for change, (d) implementing the change programme and (e) sustaining, evaluating and learning from the change within the organization.
A particular emphasis will be placed on identifying, assessing and developing the core competencies required of the change agent (internal and external) in successfully delivering change.
