"This modules provides students with an opportunity to undertake a practical business related project in the form of a business simulation which draws on the skills and knowledge gained throughout this programme.  It is designed to provide students with the opportunity to engage in decision making aimed at improving the overall operational and strategic effectiveness of a business. There are four key phases of this module which need to be noted.i) The Preparatory Phase: During this phase the students complete a set of assigned readings and are assessed on their understanding of their content.
(ii) The Business Simulation: In this phase participants undertake the simulation while competing with each other teams. Teams are assigned by the module coordinator and support / feedback is provided at pertinent stages)
(iii) Behavioural Observation Phase: In this phase  key team related behaviours (e.g. team roles, decision making, team norms, team leadership skills, communication, conflict management, etc.,) are considered as they emerge in the simulation; and
(iv) Reflection and Review Phase: In this phase the experience of the simulation is reflected upon and translated into improved business practice and targeted managerial and personal development.Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the module, student be able to 1) Select an organisation in which they can undertake a small research project
2) Prepare a well-thought-out research proposal
3) Discuss some methodological issues of completing a research project
4) develop their interview skills as part of their data collection (2 interviews required)
