This module is a biotech research project which will be carried out independently by the student in an academic research laboratory. On completion of this research project the student will write a report as well as make an oral presentation of their findings.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module the student will have carried out an independent scientific research project and developed a wide range of skills essential in the biotechnology industry. The student will learn how to design a coherent strategy to address a research question and how to adapt different techniques to overcome problems commonly encountered during research. In addition the student will gain experience in analysing and interpreting data and presenting their results in a clear and competent manner both in written and oral format.
